GeoTourism Canada has an agreement with the local National Car Rental office in Grande Prairie, Alberta to provide cars, trucks or SUVs (sports utility vehicles) at discounted rates . For those who choose to fly into Grande Prairie, GeoTourism Canada and National will meet you at the airport to get you on your way!

You will also need some accommodation. GeoTourism Canada has affiliated with Bed & Breakfast establishments, resorts and a number of inns to provide you with cozy accommodation in the Peace Country. We are able to provide a discount from the regular room rate at some locations when you book through our website. Our list of affiliates include:

• Lakeview Inns (across Alberta and Canada)
• Country Gardens Bed & Breakfast (Fort Vermilion, Alberta)
• Wild Rose Guest Ranch (Peace River, Alberta)

You’ll need some supplies as you search for geotourism sites. We’ll provide these when you rent your automobile. Some sites are located near or at our communities, but some are a bit more remote. To that end, we’ll equip you for a safe journey. Click for the list of supplies we provide.

The rent on the items loaned and the price of the items to keep comes to $800 + GST. Each additional member of the party is outfitted for an additional $400 + GST.

You may purchase the GPS receiver for $350, with loaded topographical maps. The first 6 field guides are included in the $700. After that, they cost $15 each (we pre-load them for you).
