POIFriend & GeoTourism Canada
June, 2010

GeoTourism Canada is implementing a GPS coordinates downloading system from POIFriend.  Visitors can filter our GoVado! pages using 5 criteria, and then choose which GPS unit they would like to download to.  They will also be able use the interactive map on the POIFriend website to view our GoVado! points of interest.  Stay Tuned!

2009 And Beyond

With funding and financial assistance in place, and a successful Pilot Project wrapped up, GeoTourism Canada is gearing up for the long term!  We are now working through details regarding our business infrastructure, our Themes and Field Guides, staff and research (contract) positions, and so forth.

Over the very early spring of 2009, we will work through these issues and more as we prepare for a very busy tourist season.  Between 2009 and well into 2011, we will be researching themes and sites and installing geocache boxes where feasible.

Interested in helping?

If you have a passion for a particular hobby or activity that might make an interesting Field Guide, contact us and perhaps we can bring you on as a paid researcher!  We are always looking for unique ideas that might bring tourists in from around the world such as Meteorite Craters, Ghost Towns, Caves and Caverns, etc.

Check back as we update our Website, our Field Guides and work on new marketing initiatives through 2009.

Thanks for visiting, from all of us here at GeoTourism Canada.
