WORKSHOP - "GPS RECEIVER WORKSHOP"
We occasionally hold a hands-on workshop, "GPS Receiver Workshop". The workshop includes 2 hours of classroom instruction, and 2 hours of practice locating the GeoTourism sites scattered around the area.
Cost is $50 per person.
Workshop includes:
- Lunch
- Video on how the Global Positioning System (GPS) works and how to use a receiver
- Group and one-on-one instruction
- Practice session looking for the sites and box locations in and around the area
- Your GPS unit* and extra batteries (or ensure it is fully charged)
- Outdoor clothing suitable for the weather of the day
- Comfortable walking shoes or light-duty hiking shoes
- Summer essentials such as hat, sun tan lotion, mosquito repellent, etc.
