WORKSHOP - "GPS RECEIVER WORKSHOP"

We occassionally hold a hands-on workshop, "GPS Receiver Workshop". The workshop includes 2 hours of classroom instruction, and 2 hours of practice locating the GeoTourism sites scattered around the area.

Cost is $50 per person.

Workshop includes:

  • Lunch
  • Video on how the Global Positioning System (GPS) works and how to use a receiver
  • Group and one-on-one instruction
  • Practice session looking for the sites and box locations in and around the area
What you should bring:
  • Your GPS unit* and extra batteries (or ensure it is fully charged)
  • Outdoor clothing suitable for the weather of the day
  • Comfortable walking shoes or light-duty hiking shoes
  • Summer essentials such as hat, sun tan lotion, mosquito repellent, etc.
